Rev. Dr. Jerry Swam Sidi is originally from Kaduna State, Nigeria where he served various churches through his Pastoral and music ministry. He is an ordained minister and served as Worship Associate at Highland Baptist Church Waco, Texas. Contemporary Worship, College and Missions Pastor at First Presbyterian Church Bristol, Tennessee. He currently serves as Pastor and Head of Staff, First Presbyterian Church Claremore. He and his wife, Rachael, have been married since 2000 and together they have, Davita, David, and Damita. Jerry has a Bachelor of Arts in Theology (Pastoral Studies), from Jos ECWA Theological Seminary (JETS) Plateau State, Nigeria, a Master of Theology (Th.M Missiology), from Presbyterian University and Theological Seminary, Seoul, South Korea, a Master of Arts in Christian Ministry from Baylor University Waco, Texas, a Doctor of Educational Ministry (DEdMin), from The Southern Baptist Theological Seminary, Louisville, Kentucky. He is currently enrolled at the University of Dubuque Theological Seminary, to level up his Master of Divinity Degree.
Our Elders
In the Presbyterian Church (USA), Ruling Elders are men and women elected by the congregation to discern and lead. Elders serve on the Session, the discerning council of the congregation and on the higher councils of the church. “Ruling elders, together with ministers of the Word and Sacrament, exercise leadership, government, spiritual discernment, and discipline and have responsibilities for the life of a congregation as well as the whole church. “ (Book of Order G-2.03)
